CATERING ARRANGEMENTS
There are two options available for catering arrangements.
(a) In-house catering where Turners will do the catering for you.
(b) Self-Catering.
The in house catering service includes:
1. Menus which represent value for money.
2. Total reliability
3. Staff which have had ‘Health and Hygiene’ training to the highest standards.
There will be a charge of £140 for kitchen hire, and included in this price a kitchen porter will be made available. A £100 fee must be paid against any possible damage and is refundable providing the kitchen is left clean and tidy, which includes surfaces and equipment.
If the In-house catering is required we will provide Cutlery, Glasses, Crockery, Table Cloths and Waiters/ Waitresses at no extra cost.
If self- catering is your option you will be required to provide your own utensils, Cutlery, Table Cloths, crockery and Waiters/ waitresses.
You must remove ALL foodstuffs both surplus food and partially eaten food. If you do not remove foodstuffs it will cost you £50 for the council to remove it
All kitchen activities must cease at 12pm.
If you decide on Self-Catering it is your responsibility to ensure that the person, who is organising the food, holds a current ‘Basic Food and hygiene’ certificate. You must ensure that they report to the duty manager on arrival and do not enter the kitchen until the Duty Manager gives permission. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend that you check the references of outside caterers and also examine the premises where the food is to be prepared. Please check they have suitable arrangements for storage and transportation. If you are not using a professional catering firm but a member of family or a friend it is equally important that they are ‘Health and Hygiene’ trained and have appropriate preparation and storage arrangements. Also it is important for those working in the kitchen to wear the correct clothes and footwear as the kitchen environment is very dangerous. Without these precautions.
